Another Milestone......
Well a couple days ago, i was changing Rohan when i saw a bruise on his side. He was getting it from crawling in and out of his crib. I txtd Eric right then and there and said "Crib must come down" he said ok and he would do it that night when he got home. I looked at Rohan for a minute and thought "wellp, this is it" and it is.........It's the last step in babydom. His crib is gone, he is now officially a big boy, and i am not entirely happy about it. I've said it before, he's my baby, and with every little thing we do, it's just one more realization that he is growing up. And although the temptation to hold onto him and keep him a baby as long as i can is there, i know he has to grow up..........doesn't mean i like it though!!

Lady bug houses.....

Thursday the boys and i were relaxing int the pool and i saw a lady bug. I gently scooped it from the water and called the boys over to look. They were both fascinated with the little bug. I let her go into the grass when the boys decided they were done. Rohan suddenly, gets out of the pool and goes to where i had let the bug go.
"Momma, where's lallybug?" he says very worried
"She had to go home to her mommy honey" i tell him
"But where my lallybug" he gets down closer to the ground now
"She had to go home honey"
"I can go to lallybug's house?"
uh-oh.....................
All by myself......
Eric was out of town this weekend for business in Goodland, KS. So it was just me and the boys. Friday we ran a couple of errands, and our friend Trista called and invited us to their pool. We were happy to accept the invitation. The boys had alot of fun playing with Dylon and Bradon in the kiddie pool, and then the older boys joined me in the BIG pool. They each got to jump off the ledge into the water a few times. We then came home and enjoyed the cool house while temps reached into the high 90's. Saturday T-B and Grandma Dean came over for the USA vrs Ghana soccer game, and although the USA lost we had a lot of fun. Even T-B had to admit it was kind of exciting. Saturday night we did a picnic night in mine and Eric's bedroom . I bought the boys bean bag chairs, and we lounged on the floor and watched "Alice in wonderland" the Disney cartoon version. I gotta say, i remember that being better when i was a kid. But the boys seemed to enjoy it. I then put them down for bed, and after an hour of "Mom, i need some water"...."Momma, chair"............."MOOOOOOOOOOOOOM" they went to sleep. It was a nice break Saturday night i sat in my bed and watched Seinfeld. I actually had a great time. I don't watch them to much around Eric (although he puts up with it, i do not think he appreciates Seinfeld as much as i do) so it was a nice treat. I also snuck in some pie (Shhhhhh!!) Today the boys and i watched the Germany Vrs England game. Germany won 4-1. It was great game. I love watching the boys cheer, they really get into it. Can't wait until they fully understand how awesome it is.
Better luck next time
With a 2:1 loss to Ghana yesterday the USA is headed home. They played hard and did very well. But as one article said: Soccer is still the rest of the world's game. The US is just living in it. You made us proud though guys..........Thank you!!
