Future Fireman?

Well i guess you never know. It could happen one day. We stepped into Sam's club this afternoon to get lunch, and pick up a couple of things. When we came out, there was a fire engine outside, and all of the firefighters were standing around showing the inside of the truck, all of the cool gadgets, all of the gear, it was pretty cool. We got to ring the bell, and pick up the hose and the jaws of life (the firemen thought he was funny when he told me to pick it up with 1 finger) HE did it, i tried with my whole hand and couldn't even lift it!! The boys got to wear a couple of Helmets, and sit up in the actual truck. So COOL!!
After that we took them to the Southlands fountain (which was one of the greatest ideas they had) in the winter, it becomes the skating rink, and in the summer it is a huge sprinkler system that randomly shoots water into the air. The boys had a blast running through all of the water. We had a pretty good afternoon today, for basically Free :-)

Last night we took the boys to the Aurora Mall for diner and fun at the playland. We liked going there as we get a nice varity of food, and the boys get to play (for free). I try and take pictures of them in the same places, so i can compare them from time to time.

After we went to the mall, we stopped at the Sonic Drive in Car Show. We thought, none of us are huge car people, but we can appeciate the beauty of an old classic. Rohan took off like a fish to water. He was all over the cars, wanting to see more and more. He ducked if he had to, to see each motor, he wanted to be lifted so he could see the inside, he just had a blast. I see us going to a couple more before the weather starts to get really bad.

Crayon Project.....

Last weekend i started a project i had seen here http://unsimpleliving.wordpress.com/2011/08/02/melted-crayon-art/ who got the idea from here http://www.etsy.com/listing/77430119/rainbow-falls?ref=tre-450322965-11.

I thought this would be a great jumping off point for some abstract kinda of stuff. The pictures didn't turn out as "Chunky" as the originals did, so i am a little disappointed, i think i am going to remove the wrappers on the ones i do for the boys bathroom and see how that turns out. I do like the end result i got. It's different, and no two will even be the same :-)

Water park.....

Last week i took Rohan to this really cool water park while Aragorn was at school. It's just a playground with a bunch of water sprayer's but Rohan had a blast.

Family time Larping.....

2 weeks ago we went to a L.A.R.P. event at Roger's Grove Park in Longmont, CO. Which is a drive away, but the road tri[ was nice. And it was great to be out and the kids got to play in the creek (i just wished we all would have worn better shoes) I wore flip flops and the boys had sandals on, so walking became an issue. Next time I know tennis shoes always. For those that might not know. LARP is live action role-playing game (LARP) is a form of role-playing game where the participants physically act out their characters' actions. The players pursue goals within a fictional setting represented by the real world, while interacting with each other in character. The outcome of player actions may be mediated by game rules, or determined by consensus among players. Event arrangers called gamemasters decide the setting and rules to be used and facilitate play.

So kinda of like “Dungeons and Dragons” or even better would be, it's like halloween, for the whole day. Eric has been wanting to look into a group and I thought it actually sounded pretty cool. We’re going to try a couple more events before we commit to the ($10) a yr fee. Unfortunately the only uncool thing is, the boys are too young to play. So we’d need a sitter, and these are DAY long events. They have them in different parts of CO, so it can be up to an hour drive just to get there. So I’m not too sure how that will work out. But if we can make it work, I think it will be fun. I have to come up with a name, a backstory, age place of birth, size of family, type of childhood, where I trained, my past….that kind of thing. I think I’m gonna go Druid, Druids are in tune with nature. With their spells and abilities, they can control the elements. Druids have a wide variety of abilities that aid both the group and themselves. They also have some attack spells, and they can dish out both magical and physical damage.

Tight fittin jeans.....

This past weekend, i got froggy and decided to go through my jeans and get rid of the ones that don't fit. I asked Eric to them down for me, since the were on the top shelf, and they kept coming, and coming, and coming, To many Jeans!! But, i was able to get them organized into sizes, (i literally had a shopping spree in my closet) i tried on ALL the jeans in every size, just to make sure. And i am happy that i was down between 2 & 4 sizes!! But, I couldn't just stop at my jeans, i went through all of my clothes, and i was able to give away 5 trash bags of clothes, and reserve one bag for my friend Nicole.
