Getting SO big!!

We took Aragorn for his 4 yerar check up today and he is getting SO big. He weighs 39.8 lbs. and is 41 inches tall. He had his hearing and sight checked, and passed both!! I was a little nervous about that hearing test just because mine is so bad. All in all he is doing very well, the doctor had nothing to add to what we are doing with him. He did have to get 4 shots today. He was a trooper though, he did cry a little but he was good. To ease the pain we took him to Mc Donald's for chicken nuggets, french fries, a chocolate shake and ice cream ( i mean really a chocolate shake and ice cream, how can that not ease the pain) i got a picture of him sporting his cool "tattoos"

We hope you are all well

Better Together

Sunday's sermon was a good one for sure. All about friends and who we should hold onto and who we should let go. Sometimes the best thing for you, is the one that hurts the most.

A friend is ALWAYS loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need-Proverbs 17:17

Friends come, and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family- Proverbs 18:24

Don't forget to visit the Edge Church at www.edgecommunity.net We would love to have you come and worship with us any Sunday!!

Aragorns B-day

Oh my it was insanity and CHAOS!! But oh so much fun. Aragorn was spoiled as always this year with games and clothes and colors OH MY......So much fun to be had. The veggie tales theme was popular with all the kids and the cake was loved by everyone. Aragorn got clothes, and games (candyland 3d, connect 4, and a bug one) movies (Aliens vrs. monsters, UP, Ice Age dawn of the dinos and some veggie tale ones) lots of clothes. A cool guitar and a neato tooth brush. A couple car sets and a VERY cool space ship (Lord Vador's i beleive) not to mention the cool coloring things he got. All in all i think we had a great day. The lunch went like crazy but i mean, who doesn't love hotdogs, corndogs, potatoe salad, noodle salad, tator tots and cheese puffs? Every 4 yr old's DREAM!!

We hope you are all well.
Cheers,

Sun fuzzies

We woke up this morning to lovely sunlight coming through our bedroom window. The boys decided to catch what Eric called "Sunfuzzies" which was really the lint coming off the laundry i was putting away. But it was still fun to watch them try and catch them..........

Dear Aragorn,

Tomorrow will be your 4th birthday. And the 4th anniversary of the day our lives changed forever.....
You are everything to us. And our lives have been more fun because you are in it, and for that we are grateful everyday. I credit you with keeping us young, and smart, and on our toes. Everyday is a new adventure with you. You have taught us all so much, and showed us that being young is always fun. Your innocent look at life and people, restores our faith daily. Your ability to learn new things and comprehend them amazes us. We love you so very much, and look forward to many many more birthdays with you. Happy birthday BOOGS!!

Snow....Snow.....

We got some pretty nice Snow on Sunday, so Eric once again got to do his FAVORITE THING!! Shovel. But this time Aragorn helped. Well, sorta. We did not go to church cause i hate to drive in the snow, and i REALLY hate it if i have to have the boys with me. So we stayed home and relaxed all day. We ate, and ate and ate. Which is what you do on snowdays right?

SAHM

Well as many of you know i was laid off from my job on 11-02-09. As a result of that, I have been able to take advantage and be a stay at home mom and wife for the last 2 weeks. I am not used to being home, so it has been an adjustment for all of us. The boys miss Mrs. Rena and their freinds, but we are doing the best we can. Our days are filled with Barney, Mickey Mouse club, coloring, painting, playing video games. We have been trying to make some crafts and keep our minds sharp by working on letters and numbers. Rohan has reorginized all of the kids DVD's and Aragorn has been brushing up on his video games. And of course we are spending time with lots of snuggles
We hope you are all well!!

Halloween

The weather cooperated with us thankfully and we were able to go out and get some candy!! We met up with our neighbor Cheyenne and her dad Chris and we headed out. Aragorn wasn't really into it, until he could tag along with Chy Chy (as he calls her) Ugh i dread the 1st time she brings home a boyfriend, my poor baby will be crushed!! But until then he likes to hang out with her. Rohan wasnt really excited about the candy, he was much more interested in the snow. Eric ended up carrying him for most of the walking. We got to 2 blocks, before it got to be a little to chilly out. The boys made out though, i know i will be enjoying some chocolate!!

Ahhhh Colorado

The Driveway

For those of you who miss this lovely state. (and i KNOW some of you do)

Lemme remind you why you do............

Denver officially received 14.2 inches of snow from Tuesday through Friday morning. But most metro area neighborhoods saw more than the official measurement site at DIA. For example, Highlands Ranch received 24.5 inches, Boulder had 18.8 inches, and Aurora received 16 inches.

I know we "officially" had 14 inches at our house, we live further east so that’s not unusual for us. Eric spent about 4 hours total shoveling. He LOVES our house.
Rohan watched and waited patiently for daddy to come back inside.

We had a nice time though. Auntie Bria came over Wednesday and was able to hang out with us all day Thursday (I called in, not wanting to deal with the roads) we watched movies, and played games on the Wii and candy land. We had an all around very nice snow day.

A growing Boy

Braving the snow storm we took Rohan to his 18 month check up (only a little late) where he recieved 4 shots, he was not happy with us. He got his regular flu and the H1N1 shot, along with his DaPT and Hepatits A shots. But we also found out he is growing like a weed. Over 3 feet already. They keep telling us he will be taller than Eric when he’s older. Looks like he got that Spillman/Rollins gene after all. His weight is great 26.8. The doctor did tell us they are going to say he has asthma (instead of bronchitis) with this diagnosis, it puts him at a higher risk for breathing and medical issues, so the doctor told us to go ahead and give him breathing treatments nightly. Which will make us popular mommy and daddy. Otherwise he is doing well. The doctor said his speech seems to be coming along nicely and he seems to have a lot of words. Which we agree with. He is fearless, which the doctor said is pretty typical at this age, he said just to watch him closely. Super man he is not!! But the cutest lil dancer, Yeah!!

Pink Ribbons......

So how does it feel to be told that your sister 5 years younger than you has breast cancer?

The best I can describe it is, falling and having the wind knocked out of you.

I found out last Friday that Nikki's biopsy came back positive for breast cancer. I have not spoken with her yet, but according to her facebook page, it is Stage II. She has alos said they are recommending a double masectomy. I do not know what she has chosen to do at this point. But as soon as I do I will update you all.

I had a flood of emotions after i read about her outcome. Denial (No way is this happening to someone that is only 26, and the mom of 3 little boys) Sadness (i cried the rest of the afternoon) Anger (i do not deal well with these things, especially since i do not understand why it happens to some people).

She has 3 lil men that need her, and a family that would be lost without her. I must give credit to Nikki, she has always tried to keep in contact with me, even in the middle of the drama that is the Dean family. And for that I am grateful. She has always been the one to see, that maybe i am not such a terrible person after all. I am sorry that i have not been able to be the sister she needed and the one i would have liked to have been. But i guess we don't always have a say in how things go. I hope she knows though, that i love her, and even though i know she has a ton of support, i am here if she needs me.

I wish I could support her more, but I do not want any feelings towards me to interfere with the ultimate goal, which is her getting better. So in light of that, I will support her as best I can from here.

I ask for your prayers and well wishes for my Sister. She truly needs them.
