Saturday's all right.....

Date night

Eric and I decided this past Friday we would have a much needed "Date Night" we stayed in and once the boys were in bed, we watched Avatar, while we enjoyed lobster pot pies i had made. It was a perfect night for it too, it had been rainy and wet and yucky all day. I love this time with Eric, always helps if we can have a little non-kid time and enjoy each other's company.

Thunder

Thursday the boys and i had errands to run. After dragging them through Michael's and Walmart we headed home to as promised, play with bubbles. Unfortunately, we ended our trip to the sound of tornado sirens ah, a typical Colorado spring. The boys after a little arguing about the fact we were not going to be able to play with bubbles when we got home, were unfazed by the loud rumble and cracks of lightning. This is how they handle sever weather

My 1st......

Dragonfly collage. I wanted to get Bria something different for her condo, something unique. So i thought what better way to do that then maker her something. I found a great website and copied this idea. These are dragonfly's each one individually punched from whatever paper i had, then glued them onto the background of the frame. I think it came out very cool. I am going to make another one, bigger i think.

Unfortunately with me being laid off, we have decided we are unable to meet the Cox and Norris family's this Summer. I am very sad about this, i was so looking forward to meeting the families they had created and seeing both of my oldest friends again. We agreed that maybe we'll try again next year.

The other day Rohan asked me for some water, as this was the 100th time i was going up the stairs for the boys, i kinda felt like his personal assistant, so when i returned i handed him his water and said

"Here you go your highness" and from Aragorn i get

"It's your Majesty MOM"

Wait.....what?

The Easter Bunny CAME!!!

Saturday we had our very 1st block Easter egg hunt. There were about 12 kids total of variing ages. I had a blast watching the boys sneak around hunting eggs and carefully putting them in their buckets.

We also attended our 1st Edge Church Easter Sunday Sermon and Easter egg hunt. My mom her friend Martin and our good friends Nicole and Berlyn joined us. I was in charge of the hunt, over 800 eggs put onto a huge field and about 80 kids that came at me!! It was crazy. But we had a good time. Unfortunatly i missed the sermon, but you can download his serman on I-Tunes. We then came home to Easter baskets left for the boys and a wonderful ham lunch. We managed to get some "Easter" pictures of the family.

Sometimes, you just gotta belt one out......

Tonight was no different that any other night lately. I tell the boys get to headed up to bed, and i get at least 10 minutes of

"WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" from Aragron yelled as though the world is ending right in front of him. I calmly remind him, that he did not have a nap, thus he must go to bed a little earlier. This logic makes perfect sense at 12:00 nap time, but come 7:00 bedtime and all bets are off.

Anyway.........Tonight Eric started signing just to be a wise guy, and then i joined in
"I've got rhythm, I've got music, I've got my guy who could ask for anything more" The boys both join in signing at the top of their lungs, soon enough we were a family signing show tunes (we're no Von Trap family that's for sure) but it was fun, and got some energy out, cause you know we threw in some turns, and spins and some finger pointing to the sky. They both went to bed a little happier i think...........

Who knew show tunes screamed at the top of your lungs is actually good before you go to bed?
