Museum And Mothers day

We took a trip to the museum yesterday where we said hello to all of our friends. We played in the discovery zone, and ate at the café (a bit expensive we found out). Then we spent the rest of the day just hanging out. Aragorn was so tired from the museum, he feel asleep, standing. Now that's a tired kid.

Today, mother’s day I got woken up by the sweet kisses of my babies and a very quiet “hawppy momma’s day momma” from Aragorn, Rohan smiled at me (as he is still not talking) we had breakfast with my mom and Martin, and when they left, we just hung out (we do that a lot lately) but we have a lot of fun, we usually get serenaded by Aragorn and read to by Rohan. For mother’s day Eric made me diner or steak and rice with onions, pineapple, jalapeño and onions. It was awesome. I was able to relax on the computer for most of the day, I had a good mother’s day. And I cannot wait to play with my gift. Eric and the boys got me SIMS3, which comes out June 2nd. I am SO excited!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Mothers day too.

It's so Hard to say Goodbye......

I will never forget my Junior year of high school and the dreaded feeling of my stomach sinking when I had to face the music. US History. I dreaded us history. I knew I was going to flat out fail. But thanks to the powers that be. I was saved. The man chosen for me to learn US History from was Bill Miles. Or Mr. Miles as I would come to know him. My first class with him, I hated him. I wondered how this was possible, the most LOVED teacher at Gateway, and I hated him? I went home to my mom that night and told her, I don't like him, obviously she made sure I went back. Into class two, I learned why everyone loved Bill Miles. He made school fun, he made it interesting!! It came to a point where, I looked forward to his class every day. He allowed you to eat in his class, for some reason my chosen breakfast at that time, was baby carrots and saltines, every day, he would walk by and steal a cracker, telling me he needed it cause he was diabetic and his blood sugar was low. He was of course lying, but I always let him steal a few.
Unfortunately, he left us March 31 2009. When I heard the news, I cried and then I stopped because, I knew Mr. Miles would not have wanted us to cry. And I also knew what my breakfast would be the next morning, saltines and baby carrots. His celebration of life was today, and it is amazing how one person, touched so many lives in different ways. Bria, Nicole, JJ, Michelle, Scot and I went to give our final goodbye to Mr. Miles. He was a wonderful person and an even better educator. Rest in Peace Mr. Miles.I leave with this quote.

Pink eye, and May Day?

Well this week started out a little rough. Both Aragorn and Eric ended up with pink eye. They both stayed home and got to play all day Wednesday. But thankfully they were back to normal by Saturday. We did learn though, that pink eye is no joke!!
Saturday, We spent the day at the farm. We enjoyed the animals, which included new baby chics, and of course our friends the cows Luis and Clark, and our turkey friend baby doe. It was very chilly so we didn't stay long, but the boys got a hot dog and to play on the may pole. We left earlier than planned as it was about 44 degrees in Aurora yesterday, Brrrr!!
Aragorn hadn't been feeling well earlier in the week aside from the pink eye, and then today Rohan's belly was upset. I think the boys caught a bug or something, we are keeping a close eye on them both.
Hope you are all well

April blizzards bring.........

You know it’s bad when the weather man says, expect 10 to 150 inches. We got hammered with a typical Colorado spring snow storm starting Friday morning. Flights were canceled, roads were terrible, but the fun!! Oh my the fun. Aragorn was outside for over an hour helping daddy shovel and making HUGE snowballs. Rohan and mom hung out inside eating breakfast. We made a wonderful day of it, watching movies all day and laying like vegetables. When the boys went down for the night, Bria, Eric and I watched even more movies. So this weekend, all in all was awesome. Love those April blizzards.
Hope you are all well.
Cheers.

Easter goodies

So the Easter bunny came and left the Spillman home, but not without leaving some goodies for the boys. They got all kinds of backyard fun toys for this summer, along with a pretty awesome “tree house” we did not hunt for Easter eggs, because it was very cold, maybe next year. They did get a chance to play in the tree house this last week, and loved every minute of it. Omma Dean and Grandma and Grandpa Spillman came over to enjoy a wonderful Easter dinner made by Eric, ham, mashed potatoes, corn and rolls were the reason to be here.
Hope you are all well.
Cheers,
