April blizzards bring.........

You know it’s bad when the weather man says, expect 10 to 150 inches. We got hammered with a typical Colorado spring snow storm starting Friday morning. Flights were canceled, roads were terrible, but the fun!! Oh my the fun. Aragorn was outside for over an hour helping daddy shovel and making HUGE snowballs. Rohan and mom hung out inside eating breakfast. We made a wonderful day of it, watching movies all day and laying like vegetables. When the boys went down for the night, Bria, Eric and I watched even more movies. So this weekend, all in all was awesome. Love those April blizzards.
Hope you are all well.
Cheers.

Easter goodies

So the Easter bunny came and left the Spillman home, but not without leaving some goodies for the boys. They got all kinds of backyard fun toys for this summer, along with a pretty awesome “tree house” we did not hunt for Easter eggs, because it was very cold, maybe next year. They did get a chance to play in the tree house this last week, and loved every minute of it. Omma Dean and Grandma and Grandpa Spillman came over to enjoy a wonderful Easter dinner made by Eric, ham, mashed potatoes, corn and rolls were the reason to be here.
Hope you are all well.
Cheers,

Rest In Peace Bill

It is with heartfelt sadness and grief that we say good bye to our friend William (Bill) Downey today. Our hearts ache with the realization we will never see him again, or hear his laugh or be the brunt of his jokes . May he find peace, and be at rest now.

I leave you this a quote-

We're all worried, we're all in pain. That just comes with having eyes and having ears. But just remember one thing - it can't get any worse, it can only get better. This is the bottom, it sucks, but that's the point, surviving it is the whole point. Quitting is not going to make you stronger, living will. So just just hang on and hang in there-Mark Hunter-Pump up the volume

Book CLub Fun-ness!!

This weekend was Sam’s book club/girls night, as always we had a blast. Stuffed ourselves silly, and laughed till midnight. Always good to spend some time with the girls. Everyone is looking forward to Easter here, the boys are getting a new backyard climbing toy and we are excited to see it. We may do a neighborhood Easter egg hunt in the park. We haven’t decided yet. But if we do it’ll be a lot of fun!!
Hope you are all well!!

Cheers,
Samantha

On top of the food

Last weekend we enjoyed ourselves at Cherry Creek mall and played on the crazy food. The boys got new animals from build a bear. Aragorn chose a turtle he named Rexxy and Rohan got a new teddy bear named Pudge. The week was pretty calm, until Thursday when the blizzard blew in. For anyone that lives or has ever lived in CO. It was pretty mild, but it made the drive home a joke. It was nice to leave early, but does no good if it takes you four hours to get home!!
Cheers,
Sam

From the bubble dome......

Well this week has been very tiring. We have all been sick with high fevers. It started Tuesday when Eric and Sam went to lunch, Eric said he wasn't feeling well, and thought he would finish the day and head home. I then started to feel hot and feverish after lunch. Eric came home after work went to bed while i stayed up and played and fed the boys. Wednesday I was down for the count had to call into work and lay in bed all day my fever peaked at 103 but i mamanged to keep it in the 101-102 range for most of the day. Thursday i felt better and went into work. Aragorn woke up coughing and groaning so we kept him home. I came back home at noon to a very sick and miserable household, everyone (including me) was down. The fever had taken over the Spillman home!! Yesterday was not as bad, but still required both boys to stay home and chill out.

Today though, everyone has been JUST fine. Everyone is back to 100% and feelin it. Unfortunatly Eric has to work all weekend, from earlt till late, but we're doing the best we can. It felt nice to open all the windows and get some fresh air in here.
Aragorn is a super hero today and Rohan, has very important calls to return.

Our weekend

Well it was over 50 degrees on Saturday the 28th so we went to the zoo again. This time Aunt Erin and Uncle Mike joined us. We introduced them to all of our animal friends including our friends the crocodile and ducks. There is a new addition to the zoo Pongo the 2 week old giraffe. He was resting when we saw him, so we didn’t get to see him standing. But he was cute anyway. We had lunch at the main restaurant which was super yummy. Aragorn was very excited to see his friend the little monkey again, there is something about Aragorn that monkey likes (I think it’s because Aragorn doesn’t smack on the glass) we spent the day at the zoo, and had a wonderful time. Sunday was spent winding down and hanging out.

We have decided the boys will get a new backyard climbing/house thing for Easter. I am sure Eric and Craig will have a blast putting it up J. We are all looking forward to the warmer weather, and to help mother nature along, we went yesterday and bought some sidewalk chalk and outside toys for the boys, maybe that will convince her.

Hope you are all doing well.

Cheers.
