Ever since we
saw Aunt Becky & Uncle Strut this summer for camping, the boys have wanted
to go camping. So for our annual
Spillman family vacation, we took the boys to Jelly stone in Larkspur. We went up on Friday morning, and camped
until Sunday morning. And I have to
admit we had a BLAST!! This place was so
great for kids. They had a lot of
activity’s and things going on and they kept us busy. Rohan fell in love with yogi, and we had a
lot of fun in the pool. The boys got to
make snow globes, and they got to play on the cool slip and slide, feed goats (including aordable baby goats) they got to pan for gold. Because of the fire ban in Colorado, which
hit right in the middle of our vacation, there were no open fires, so we had to
rely on the camp stove (which I gotta admit, not having the smell of campfire
on EVERYTHING, was actually kinda nice) I missed the open fire and all that
goes with it, but not the smell. So they
boys made smores on the camp stove, not as awesome, but still just as
tasty. We had no issues with sleeping in
the tent, the boys thought it was very cool, and because we didn’t go into the mountains,
it was warm even at night. We played and walked and swam so much, that by bed
time the boys passed out, and mom and dad weren’t far behind. All in all this was great idea, we all had a
GREAT time, and the boys even want to go back next year. Copy and paste the link below to see more pictures of our adeventures!
