Camping 2012

This weekend was the annual Struther's camping trip where they go to lake Dillon and camp for several days.  We haven't been to the lake since I was Pregnant with A, so it's been a while.  But we drove up for the day and hung out.  We got to spend some time with Becky & Strut, Jimbo and his daughter Kara and her boyfriend Chris.  Bria and Mom and Martin also drove up for the day.  We had a good time playing marbles (before all the storms) and hanging around the campfire.  The boys LOVED it, although Ro said "It wasn't that fun cause we didn't get to stay the night" i told him maybe next year we can stay the night.  I am NOT a big camper, i don't understand the fun in taking all that you own, and packing it up and taking it with you to the woods, just to use it, pack it all up again, bring it home and wash it all.  But, I guess it's the fun and experience you take away from it all.  I have to admit, now that i am older and have kids of my own, the idea of camping is intriguing.  I know Becky's mom and dad taught her the fun of camping at a young age, Eric has always liked to camp, Bria also has been camping since she was young.  So, maybe there is something to be said about it.  I told the boys maybe next year if Becky and Strut come up, we will see if we can stay for a few days, maybe over the beginning of the week or something, and make it a vacation for us too.  I had a really good time yesterday and was sorry that we had to leave early, but the lil ones were getting tucked out.  A slept the whole way home, and Ro crashed as soon as his head hit the pillow.  Thanks to Becky and Sturt for having us up to visit and explore, the boys had a blast!

Date night.Party night

Last night Eric and I were invited to a birthday party for a friend of his.  The boys stayed with Auntie Bri for the evening and Eric and i headed over for some drinks and games.  I had such a great time, it reminded me of game nights at Becky and Struts.  All of the adults would gather around the coffee table, and the kids either played with each other or watched the adults.  Which is what happened last night.  Just good talking, good games, and fun.

I figured, anytime we are both dressed nicely, is a chance for pictures, which as we all know Eric LOVES!! 

So US.  He thinks i am laughing at what his saying.  What i am laughing at is
how perfect this picture sums us up as a couple.  He's always trying to be
serious, and to the point.  I keep us laughing.

We get a free show everyday when we go to get A from school.  He sat for at least 10 mins watching these trucks. 

Mother's day 2012.....

I had a WONDERFUL mother's day this year.  It was the 1st year that A made me something i didn't know about, i was so excited to open it.  He made me wait too, but it was so worth it.  I got to sleep in, when i woke up coffee was brewing and bacon was frying.  Eric made me breakfast while i opened my gifts.  A had a cameo portrait done at school, the boys also got me new Evoo and Vinegar canisters and a lil crocet for my salt.  I spent the day reading the 2nd book to 50 Shades of Grey and when i say the day i mean that literally (i finished the whole book).  My mom got be a great bottle of wine and Belinda and Craig surprised me with some really pretty roses.  We finished the evening with a nice dinner and a great evening.  It was a REALLY good day!
