GoodBye old friend......

It is with great sadness that i sit and write about the passing of Kali Joe Struthers.  Kali joined the family about 14 years ago, and it was hard going form the start.  We though at the beginning we would lose her to parvo, but she prevailed and made it through.  Kali has been a permanent fixture in all of our lives, taking the title of child for Becky & Strut.  She went camping, and for car rides, and everything Becky and Strut did.  She had been slowing down for the last few years, not as eager to do the things she used to, like letting the little kids ride on her, or running and chasing things, but still managed to nude herself into your heart.  Kali loved to go for walks and swim.  She was probably one of the most beautiful dogs i have ever seen, and so well behaved.  She will be missed so so much.  Her day ended well.  Yesterday she had some spam for breakfast, took a nice walk.  Layed down by the grill and fell asleep, forever.  She was surrounded by family & friends.  She will be remembered for all she brought to our lives, including her unique "WOO-WOO" sound she would make.  RIP Kali Jo, you may be gone but you will NEVER be forgotten.  WOO, WOO, WOO.

7 years......

Happy 7th anniversary to my Loving and awesome husband. He sure puts up with a lot from me, and i hope he knows how much I love and appreciate him, and everything he does for us. I love you Monkey.

Beaten by the 3 yr old.....

Mom came over this morning and we played some marbles.  Rohan and Eric were blue, Aragorn was green, mom red, and me, purple.  It's a good thing I really like this game despite the fact i almost never win.

Future Fireman?

Well i guess you never know. It could happen one day. We stepped into Sam's club this afternoon to get lunch, and pick up a couple of things. When we came out, there was a fire engine outside, and all of the firefighters were standing around showing the inside of the truck, all of the cool gadgets, all of the gear, it was pretty cool. We got to ring the bell, and pick up the hose and the jaws of life (the firemen thought he was funny when he told me to pick it up with 1 finger) HE did it, i tried with my whole hand and couldn't even lift it!! The boys got to wear a couple of Helmets, and sit up in the actual truck. So COOL!!
After that we took them to the Southlands fountain (which was one of the greatest ideas they had) in the winter, it becomes the skating rink, and in the summer it is a huge sprinkler system that randomly shoots water into the air. The boys had a blast running through all of the water. We had a pretty good afternoon today, for basically Free :-)

Cheesy smiles & Car shows.......

Last night we took the boys to the Aurora Mall for diner and fun at the playland. We liked going there as we get a nice varity of food, and the boys get to play (for free). I try and take pictures of them in the same places, so i can compare them from time to time.

After we went to the mall, we stopped at the Sonic Drive in Car Show. We thought, none of us are huge car people, but we can appeciate the beauty of an old classic. Rohan took off like a fish to water. He was all over the cars, wanting to see more and more. He ducked if he had to, to see each motor, he wanted to be lifted so he could see the inside, he just had a blast. I see us going to a couple more before the weather starts to get really bad.

Crayon Project.....

I thought this would be a great jumping off point for some abstract kinda of stuff. The pictures didn't turn out as "Chunky" as the originals did, so i am a little disappointed, i think i am going to remove the wrappers on the ones i do for the boys bathroom and see how that turns out. I do like the end result i got. It's different, and no two will even be the same :-)

Crazy Kid

Rohan came over to my desk this afternoon. Placed two Slinky's on my toes. Gave me the eye. And then walked off.
