Update on my mom......

My mom is doing well. She had to go back into Surgery on the 1st. She was having some problems and thought it best to redo her options. She is doing better now, and continues to see her surgeon on a weekly basis. She will see an oncologist on Aug. 1st. She spoke with her surgeon last week and was told her surgery recurrence is basically 0% but she will see an oncologist on the 1st and they will talk more about it. I just wanted to give you some news and let you know that as per usual, she isn't putting up with any nonsense.

You get a new camera, and your 1st subjects are your kids :-)

After a particularly rough bedtime routine (which is VERY rare) for the nightly Bible story, I ask Eric to please read the story of Abraham (Patience) and about 1/2 way through Ro says:

"This is taking forever" and lays on the floor defeated

Me to Rohan: "If you need a chair to reach it, your probably not supposed to be getting into it in the 1st place"

Settle for a slow down

Is what we're saying now that things are getting worse in SD. My godmother posted this on her blog last night

We had BAD storms again on Sunday night, with another 2.5 inches of rain and high winds. We probably would have lost more trees except we lost all the big ones last year. This storm brought down the big cottonwood across the street, and thank goodness it fell into the nature center. It would have crushed the garage and this makes it the city's problem, not mine! The river is at 35 feet this morning. Heard on the news today that the man that owns Bev's on the River is using 18 pumps to keep the water out. We've also had a levee breach here at the Nature Center, and it's pouring water into Mud Lake, which is OK as long as that is where it stays! They say we are OK, and so far we are still dry!

We hope it stays that way, and the water leaves them alone!!
