Memories.....

Yesterday as I riding with Eric and the boys to church Eric said he heard some old school country on the radio while he was driving into work Saturday, and he was glad, he misses old school country. It got me thinking. I remembered Sunday summer's with my mom in our house on Downing. I remember my mom the forever sun goddess used to get up early on Sunday's, we would usually eat some sort of egg breakfast and then it was outside. We had a large radio, that she would crank up so we could hear it in the yard. The music that came over the speakers was old school country. Johnny Cash, George Straight, Kenny Rodgers, Johnny Paycheck (take this job and shove it). I used to groan at the reminiscing the radio host would do. But, yesterday as I sat watching the world go by, I smiled. Because I was now reminiscing. Many a Sunday was spent with my mom, sitting in the sun, reading the funny pages as she ate her soft boiled egg and toast. And many of those days I was completely oblivious of my mother, happily content with my barbies, or the mud, or whatever friend was over that weekend. But as I look back now, I know those days were some of the best I ever had, just me, Mom, the sun, and Kenny.

Mom moment...........

I got an e-mail this evening asking us our opinion on things our pediatricians office is thinking of doing. I had a mom moment when i thought..........

You know you are a mom when you sit down and actually read the questions and answer them.

But you KNOW you are a mom when you actually put comments in the comments section........

Saints Vs. Colts

I had my very 1st super bowl party yesterday for the Saints/Colts game yesterday and I have to admit it was very cool. Trista and Chad Weinmaster invited us the food was amazing, and the company very awesome. Trista outdid herself. I am glad we got to go, and the boys were all to happy to play with their friends again. So much so, that when we needed to leave Aragorn threw a HUGE fit. But aside from that it was a great time. There was some football thing on TV too i guess, I was to busy having fun chatting & Eating to notice.

Rohan turns 2……

Ok well he turned 2 a month and 5 days ago, but we celebrated this weekend. We had his party Saturday the 6th. All of his friends came over to help. Jessica made his Elmo cake, and it came out great, not only in look but also in taste. Eric made some yummy lunch hot dogs, hamburgers chips and cheese puffs, all the things lil boys love. Rohan was excited to open his gifts, although I do not think he got the concept of it really. He was still happy to rip the paper and see what was inside the bags. He made out like a bandit though. A cool new moving and talking Chuck truck from Grandma Dean, all kinds of coloring books, stickers and a new Mickey Mouse movie from Grandpa and Grandma Spillman, a life size house from Aunt Erin and Uncle Mike. Some Barney movies and an aqua doodle from mom and dad, play doh from the Heller Family, and a very cool soccer ball for outside from the Weinstein family. We can't leave out the very cool bulldozer he got from Martin and the Elmo mailbox from Ms. Lorna and Miss Nichelle, and the neato squishy dino from the Bennetts family. But the coolest gift of all had to be the Talking/dancing/signing Elmo from T-B (Auntie Bria). All in all he did pretty good, and was most excited about spending some time with his friends. Wonder what he wished for when he blew out the candles?
