Harvest Festival and Babies

Eric saw our doctor this week and he has a separated tendon in his shoulder to his collar bone, so he has been taking some meds to help with the pain of that. He is getting an MRI Tuesday which will tell us how bad the tear is, then we will know what the next step is. We are hoping it’s not surgery!! The guys and I enjoyed Harvest on the homestead yesterday. We got to see our friends Rob and Roy and Lewis and Clark baby Doe and Horris. The boys painted Zucchini for the Zuke shoot, Aragorn made a corn husk doll and we all got to pet the ponies. So much fun. Aragorn shot off his zuke, and missed the target BUT hit the fence post. And Eric showed the boys how to rope. He did a very good job, Aragorn figured out an easier way.

I had two baby showers yesterday, one for Kari girl I went to high school with and the other was for Tiffany, a gal I work with. What are the odds, haven’t had a baby shower all year, and then two on the same day. I am happy to report that it did NOT give me baby fever and I am still content with my 2!! Had another wonderful service at church today. We ended with our weekly trip to Village Inn, it has become a fun tradition for us. And the rest of the day was for relaxin.

We hope you are all well.

Why Worry?

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their sttrength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31

Be Still and know that I am God-Psalm 46:10

The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps-Proverbs 16:9

Grillin & Chillin

We have been having so much fun at the Spillman home. Eric got his new grill on Thursday and was able to try it out this weekend, we have had smoked steak, grilled pork and today, we enjoyed a pork shoulder, it was AWESOME. Unfortunately Eric was in a car accident yesterday, he was rear ended, but he is ok. The van though, will have to be fixed. We had church today where pastor Ryan spoke about worry again, I am loving going to this church, everyone is always so nice and welcoming, and the boys are REALLY liking it, Aragorn is getting excited to go on Sunday’s now, and looks forward to it. Aragorn helped me clean up yesterday by vacuuming. And Rohan taught us the proper way to eat cereal.

We hope you are all well
