Stay off the buoy’s

Yesterday we went on our first trip to the reservoir. Some of my best memories are from Chatfield reservoir with my mom and various friends, and I thought it would be fun to let the boys get some memories of their own. They both loved the sand and enjoyed making sand castles with Eric. Rohan was not impressed with the water, he was content just sitting on the edge and splashing, Aragorn was SUPER happy to be in the water up to his neck. Even with the crazy sunburns we all got (Except Aragorn, not sure how that happend) it was a very good time, and I’m sure we will be going back. This morning we attended our 1st bible study at Pastor Heller’s house. Unfortunately the boys did not like the change, and Eric ended up with the boys upstairs during the whole meeting. But I was able to fill him in on the discussion which was l Peter 2:1-3. It was very interesting, this was the verse he gave us.

So get rid of every kind of evil, every kind if deception, hypocrisy, jealousy and every kind of slander. Desire god’s pure word as a newborn babies desire milk. Then you will grow in your salvation. Certainly you have tasted that the lord is good! l Peter 2:1-3.
It is very nice to take what he tells us and apply it in real life. Eric and I are both very excited to get invloved with this chruch.

We hope you are all well

Big boy Underroos

This week Aragorn modeled his new BIG boy underroos. He'll kill me when he's 21, but for now I think he is very cute!!

Happy kids

Do not train boys to learning by force and harshness, but lead them by what amuses them, so that they may better discover the bent of their minds.-- Plato

There has never been a day when I have not been proud of you, I said to my Son though some days I’m louder about other stuff so it’s easy to miss that.-- Brian Andreas

Kahlua

Goodbye Kahlua

I will miss you and your meanness. I loved you so very much, and I hope you are doing better now. I don't think pets really ever leave us, i think they are just keeping a spot warm for us. Rest in Peace. I love you.

Love,
Sam

4th of July

Saturday was spent BBQing for the 4th of July, we had a few people over to hang out. The party started at 12 and didn’t end till 2 am. But we had a really good time. Got to hang out with some people outside of work and got to catch up with some we haven’t seen in a while. Rohan crashed at 8, but Aragorn stayed up and got to use some sparklers (candles) as he calls them, and he got to see a pretty cool fireworks show put on by our neighbors friend. All in all it was a very good day, lots of sun and pool time, and rock band as we got rained out. I also managed to get a couple very patriotic pictures of the boys. Needless to say Sunday was spent inside and quiet.

Hope you are all well

Bouncy houses and cotton candy

We attended the church block party on Wednesday, it was a lot of fun. Aragorn met a couple of other kids that will be in bible study class. He also played on the playground a lot, the bounce house was not as exciting as I thought it would be for him. He did enjoy the 2 helpings of cotton candy and snow cones though. Rohan also played on the play ground and enjoyed 3 (yes 3) hotdogs. Eric and I got a couple of minutes with pastor Heller he invited us for bible study this weekend, and his wife wants to sit down with me and talk. I really like how involved they are. Nicole came over Thursday and helped Aragorn and I make firework decorations for the 4th of July BBQ. We put Rohan to bed for the evening and just spent some time with Aragorn, he loved making the fireworks (pipe cleaners, glitter and glue). I always have so much fun watching him and seeing everything he sees and learns.
